Anglia
moves premises and changes name to facilitate rapid expansion
Cambridge-based
Anglia Business Computers today announced its move to larger premises as
part of an ambitious expansion program. It also changed the name of the
company to Anglia Business Solutions Ltd to more accurately reflect its
current market offerings.
Two years ago, the company embarked on a rapid expansion policy designed to
capitalise on its position as a UK leading supplier of business oriented IT
solutions. In 2003, the company grew turnover by 30% and gross margins by
50%. Progress throughout 2004 has continued at the same pace as the market
for integrated business solutions grows. The new premises located at Harston
provide 50% more floor space than the previous Milton Road Headquarters.
“During the late 90’s, we reshaped the business to meet the forecast demand
for business solutions that provided clients with a real competitive edge
using IT as a facilitator” explained Managing Director David Hurley. “We
hired a team of highly skilled business oriented consultants to augment our
excellent infrastructure team. These had superb technical skills and
practical working knowledge of the Microsoft Navision system. To these, we
added Microsoft .NET development skills now one of the fastest growing IT
sectors. As a result, we have been able to offer our clients total end to
end solutions that have won a number of awards for innovation. These
solutions now represent 25% of all of the case studies on Microsoft’s MBS
Navision UK Web site”.
The company has increased headcount by 50% during the last two years and the
new premises will facilitate the doubling of employee numbers as the
business continues to expand.
